Location : 4 Days a Week Onsite in Des Moines, IA area Required Skills & Experience 3-5 years of supervisor/management experience Strong communicator (ability to coach and mentor) Nice to Have Skills & Experience Experience in the Insurance Rating space Experience with commercial insurance Experience in the insurance industry Job Description Insight Global is hiring a Rating Supervisor in Urbandale, Iowa or Portland, Maine for a large insurance company to work closely with their team of 6-10 Rating Technicians across the country. This Supervisor is responsible for the management and development of rating staff, including training oversight, conducting quality reviews, coaching and mentoring, and performance evaluation. The Rating Supervisor ensures team members meet or exceed departmental, service, and quality goals while supporting a culture of operational efficiency, continuous improvement, and cross team collaboration. Additional responsibilities include ensuring procedural documentation is accurate and current, and monitoring work volume. This leader will have a chance to help elevate process improvements. Direct supervision of an assigned rating team, providing coaching, mentoring, and ongoing performance feedback. Develop, maintain, and execute a comprehensive training plan that ensures consistent onboarding, progression, and readiness of new Raters. Provide processing context and workflow education by ensuring Trainees understand training resources, work assignment expectations, authority, system navigation and functional workflows. Responsible for quality reviewing Trainee transactions prior to certification to ensure accuracy and readiness. Identifying training gaps and coordinating corrective coaching. Performs rating transaction reviews as part of the Quality Review process at the direction of the Rating Manager, ensuring accuracy and compliance with established standards. Monitor work volume and workflow queues, ensuring adherence to SLAs and proactively adjusting assignments or resources as needed. Compensation $30/hr to $37/hr. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
