Nurse Aide

Summary The nurse aid works under the direct supervision of licensed nursing staff to provide direct patient care in accordance with established hospital policies, procedures and protocols. Status Full Time Location CPH Department CPH West 3 Schedule Evening/Weekends Responsibilities Performs and documents direct comprehensive, family and patient centered care under the direct supervision of licensed nursing staff. Provides world class customer service to patients and families. Reports patient conditions directly to licensed nursing staff to achieve positive patient outcomes. Maintains a safe and clean patient and family centered environment. Required Qualifications BLS within 3 months of hire Preferred Qualifications Evidence of successful completion of a nurse aid training course at hire and previous experience as a Nurse Aid Physical Requirements Moderate - Clinical - Moderate clinical roles are patient facing roles that require continual movement, including standing, walking, and lifting 20–50 lbs., along with pushing and pulling medical equipment and assisting with patient positioning. Employees perform frequent bending, twisting, and reaching while completing fine motor tasks in busy or confined clinical environments. High sensory acuity is essential for monitoring patient status and responding to alarms or safety concerns. Emotional and cognitive demands are substantial, involving decision‑making under pressure, responding to emergencies, and maintaining sustained focus. Environmental exposures include infectious agents, bodily fluids, chemicals, and radiation. TB testing, mask-fit testing, and physical exams are common requirements. Pay Range $18.27 - $25.91 The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful applicant. It may be modified in the future. Pay is determined by factors including experience, clinical licensure date, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
