Shipping/Receiving Associate

Shipping And Receiving ClerkCurrently seeking a candidate who can keep records of incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment in the Shipping and Receiving Department at a local manufacturer.Job duties include, but are not limited to:Compares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other recordsAffixes shipping labels on packed cartons or stencils identifying shipping information on cartonsAssembles wooden or cardboard containers or selects pre-assembled containersEnsures that product to be shipped matches paperwork descriptionsInserts items into containers and takes what action is required to ensure product arrives at destination intact and undamagedBuilds boxes, pallets and crates to insure adequate protection of product in transitAttaches shipping information onto crates or containersFills out Bills of Lading, weights and shipping chargesUnpacks and examines incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with shipper to rectify damages and shortages. Routes items to departments.Examines outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specificationsOperates forklift, electric cart or uses hand truck to move, convey, or hoist shipments from shipping and receiving platform to storage or work areaHand-loading shipments; up to 50lbs of repetitive liftingFull Time with Long Term Opportunities Day Shift and Monday-Friday (90 Day Evaluation Hire)$18.50/Hr
