Human Resources Manager

Miami-Dade County’s People and Internal Operations Department (PIOD) is seeking a strategic Human Resources Labor Relations Manager to lead internal labor relations functions. This onsite role focuses on fair, consistent decision-making across discipline, accommodations, complaints, disputes, investigations, and grievance handling, with close alignment to Collective Bargaining Agreements (CBAs) and applicable policies. What you’ll do Manage administration of the internal disciplinary program , applying progressive discipline principles while strictly preserving employees’ due process rights. Ensure departmental actions are carried out uniformly and fairly , with consistent execution by PIOD personnel. Provide daily supervision and guidance to subordinate PIOD HR staff. Oversee internal Reasonable Accommodations processes. Oversee employee complaints and disputes and coordinate appropriate next steps. Direct oversight of formal investigations and review related recommendations. Review and recommend administrative actions based on program needs and applicable requirements. Provide managerial oversight for PIOD’s internal Labor Relations program . Ensure labor practices, work procedures, and personnel administration align consistently with CBAs , applicable administrative policies, and department-specific programs. Ensure timely processing of grievances filed within PIOD. Review and recommend grievance responses and internal settlement agreements . What you bring Bachelor’s degree . Minimum 3 years of human resources or personnel management experience. Additional related experience may substitute for the required college education on a year-for-year basis. Compensation USD 75,790 - 129,901 per year.
