Hazleton is located in the foothills of the Pocono Mountains and offers diverse recreational activities including boating, skiing, fishing, hiking, and golfing at venues such as Sugarloaf Golf Club. The area features outdoor attractions like the Greater Hazleton Rails to Trails, a 4-mile route for walking and biking, along with waterpark facilities at Island Waterpark and supercar racetrack experiences. Penn State operates a branch campus in the city, contributing to the local educational landscape.

The clinician will provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic services during 24-hour call shifts managing approximately 750 births annually. Essential duties include inpatient obstetrics such as triage evaluations, labor management, vaginal and cesarean deliveries, postpartum care, and sterilizations, along with gynecologic responsibilities including emergency consults and acute surgical care. The position requires board certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology with active Pennsylvania medical license and prescriptive authority for 24-hour call coverage.
