Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Multicraft Maintenance Technician to support our manufacturing operations by performing mechanical, electrical, and preventative maintenance on production equipment and facility systems. This role is critical to minimizing downtime, improving equipment reliability, and ensuring a safe, efficient work environment. The ideal candidate is a hands-on problem solver with strong technical knowledge across multiple trades.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial machinery including motors, conveyors, hydraulics, pneumatics, gearboxes, and production lines.
• Perform electrical diagnostics and repairs on 480V/3-phase systems, control panels, sensors, PLC-controlled equipment, and other electrical components.
• Conduct preventative and predictive maintenance to reduce unplanned downtime and interpret mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and equipment manuals.
• Install, align, and rebuild mechanical components such as bearings, belts, chains, pumps, valves, and actuators.
• Assist with equipment changeovers, upgrades, and new equipment installations.
• Perform basic welding, fabrication, and machining as needed.
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs, work orders, and parts usage.
• Follow all safety procedures, lockout/tagout, and company policies.
• Collaborate with production teams to identify issues and support continuous improvement efforts.

• 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment (or equivalent technical training).
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and industrial automation systems.
• Ability to use multimeters, hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
• Experience with PLCs (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, etc.) preferred.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.

• Basic welding and fabrication skills a plus.
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in a physically demanding environment.
• Willingness to work overtime or different shifts as needed.

Work Environment

Work in a manufacturing setting with exposure to industrial machinery and systems. The role may require working overtime or different shifts, and involves physically demanding tasks. Safety is a top priority, and adherence to safety procedures and company policies is expected.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Montgomery, AL.

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $34.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Montgomery,AL.
