The unit has 22 beds and a staff of 64 members. Staffing includes both day and night shifts with specific roles for each time. The patient ratio is 4:1, ensuring focused care for each individual. The ideal candidate must possess a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). Candidates without this qualification will not be considered. Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications are required. Preferred qualifications include at least one year of experience in an emergency room setting. The responsibilities involve accurately assessing patient acuity and assigning triage levels. Candidates must identify and prioritize patient needs in an organized, timely manner. Collaboration with physicians to develop appropriate care plans is essential. High-level customer service skills and the ability to anticipate patient needs are crucial. Candidate must emphasize both quality and compassion in patient care. Participation in problem-solving and improving processes on the unit is expected. Oversight of all aspects of patient care and coordination of diagnostic tests are vital. Maintaining patient safety and adapting to changing volumes is required. Building positive professional relationships with other departments is important. We seek a team player with a positive attitude who promotes customer service initiatives. Demonstrating age-specific knowledge and following nursing processes are essential. All patient care must be documented accurately. Critical thinking skills will be utilized in various situations. Candidates must comply with all policies and procedures. Completion of mandatory education is also required. Weekends and on-call shifts may be part of the role.
