Conveyor Controls Technician

Contract-to-Hire

Pay range: $40-$50/hr

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree or technical certification in Electrical Technology, Industrial Automation, or related field preferred
• 3–7+ years of hands-on experience in industrial automation, material handling, or conveyor systems
• Strong experience with PLC programming; Allen-Bradley ControlLogix highly desirable
• Working knowledge of electrical principles and practices as applied to automated material handling and conveyor systems
• Experience with implementation, troubleshooting, and improvement of electrical control systems for industrial and conveyor applications
• Strong knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and safety requirements
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications
• Strong communication skills to work effectively with engineers, site personnel, and management
• Ability to perform assignments independently with minimal supervision
• Willingness to travel for installations, commissioning, and on-site support

Responsibilities:

• Install, troubleshoot, maintain, and improve electrical control systems for conveyor systems, material handling equipment, and industrial automation applications
• Program and operate Allen-Bradley ControlLogix PLC systems and support conveyor automation control software
• Execute field assignments including installations, startups, and ongoing site support, ensuring work is completed on time and to specifications
• Perform hands-on wiring, panel terminations, and integration of control system components in accordance with applicable codes and requirements
• Coordinate with engineers and site teams during construction, installation, testing, and commissioning activities
• Document field changes, as-built conditions, and technical findings to support engineering and operations teams
• Provide technical guidance and training to junior technicians as needed
