About the Role:

The Night Staff position is critical to ensuring the smooth and secure operation of facilities during overnight hours. This role involves monitoring premises, responding promptly to any incidents, and maintaining a safe environment for all occupants. The Night Staff will serve as the primary point of contact during the night, managing routine checks and addressing any maintenance or security concerns that arise. This position requires vigilance, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Ultimately, the Night Staff contributes to the overall safety, security, and operational continuity of the organization during non-business hours.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work overnight shifts and remain alert throughout the shift.
• Basic knowledge of security procedures and emergency response protocols.
• Strong observational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience in security, facilities management, or a related field.
• Certification in first aid or CPR.
• Familiarity with security technology such as CCTV and alarm systems.
• Ability to operate basic maintenance equipment.
• Additional language skills to assist diverse populations.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct regular patrols and inspections of the facility to ensure safety and security standards are maintained.
• Monitor security systems, alarms, and surveillance equipment to detect and respond to any unusual activity.
• Provide assistance and support to any staff or visitors present during night hours, addressing inquiries or emergencies as needed.
• Document and report any incidents, maintenance issues, or security breaches accurately and promptly.
• Coordinate with emergency services or management in the event of an incident requiring immediate attention.
