Electrophysiology Monitoring Technician

Primarily Days with some late-night (evenings) and on-call duties per unit needs. Shifts may consist of either 4x10 or 3x12 hour arrangements.

The Electrophysiology Monitoring Technician provides assistance to the Electrophysiologist during Electrophysiology studies, ablations, and cardiac implants. This role involves operating and assisting with equipment related to cardiac procedures, ensuring smooth communication between medical staff, and facilitating timely patient care.

Responsibilities:

• Provide assistance during EP studies, ablations, and cardiac implants.
• Implement and assist in pacing monitors and understand their operation.
• Work with various equipment including GE (MacLab & CardioLab) systems.
• Assist in setup for multiple vendors during ablation procedures.
• Document procedures in Epic and ensure all equipment is ready for the procedures.
• Coordinate with the Charge Nurse and third-party vendors for timely room turnover.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• RCES or Radiologic Tech license is required.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in the field.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association is mandatory.
• Experience with cardiac implants or structural heart scrub is preferred but not required.
• Experience with GE (MacLab & CardioLab) systems and Bloom stimulators is preferred but not required.
