About the Position We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented, tech-savvy Technician or Lead Technician for our Potomac-based branch ( serving MoCo, NOVA, DC, and broader metro DC area ). The successful applicant is service-oriented and client-focused, with strong communication skills, proficient at installing, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting low-voltage integrated system equipment, devices, and components. What You'll Do Install, configure, service, and troubleshoot integrated AV, networking, lighting, shading, security cameras and devices, control, and other automation systems Interpret project blueprints and system schematics to execute installations accurately Create and maintain thorough project documentation and records, from client design and installation to ongoing support Interface with clients, designers, builders, and architects Maintain remote access, monitoring, and service protocols for deployed systems; proactively support client systems for reliability and serviceability Stay up to date on industry trends and best practices Mentor and lead junior technicians as needed Maintain company vehicle, tools, and equipment in excellent condition Deliver service that meets Daisy's standards for quality, reliability, safety, and professionalism What You Bring to the Team Strong experience with AV, networking/Wi-Fi, lighting, shading, and smart home technologies Mastery of basic wiring/cabling for low-voltage integrated systems (including panels, and junction boxes); electrician's license preferred Ability to perform system configuration, calibration, programming, testing, and troubleshooting Experience with Control4 systems; Savant, Crestron, Josh a plus Experience with Lutron products and installation Industry certifications (CEDIA, AVIXA, manufacturer certifications, etc.) preferred Strong client-facing communication skills: able to explain technical details and deliver client training Self-motivated, organized, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a team Motivated to learn new skills and to grow in responsibility and position Physically capable of lifting, kneeling, and climbing Clean driving record and valid driver's license Must pass a background check and drug screening What We Offer Reward-based milestone incentives Flexible schedule Employee discounts and benefits Referral Bonus for bringing in other team members World Class Training, Development and Technician Support Career Pathways & Upward Mobility $35-$55/hr The position will begin part-time, with the opportunity to transition to full-time Additional Information We maintain a smoke-, drug-, and alcohol-free workplace on-site and when representing Daisy.
