Concordia is a Lutheran higher education community committed to helping students develop in mind, body, and spirit for service to Christ in the Church and in the world.Position SummaryThis is a position in which the adjunct faculty member is responsible for instruction of students in the classroom setting within the PA Program in the School of Health Professions at the Concordia University Ann Arbor Campus.Job Duties and ResponsibilitiesAssumes responsibility for classroom instruction of a course.Facilitates a learning and caring environment, which encourages critical thinking, investigation, self-direction, and respect for the uniqueness of each individual.Evaluates student progress and maintains appropriate records.Remains current with trends, issues and practices in the discipline.Contributes to the evaluation of student academic achievement and other evaluative processes of the Program.Upholds and promotes the Concordia University Mission and Core ValuesOther duties as assignedKnowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesEffective oral and written communication in English and interpersonal skills. Ability to use appropriate technology in the classroom. Flexibility to meet the needs of the specific division and students.Supportive of the mission and values of Concordia University Wisconsin/Ann Arbor and the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod (LCMS)Education and ExperienceRequired: Graduate Degree in Physician Assistant Studies, PharmD, MD, DO, DPM or NPTeaching experience in PA/medical education.
