Position Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Operating Room (OR)
Location: Bethesda MD 20892
Duration: 13 weeks
Work Schedule: Monday through Friday 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

Note: Intermittent on-call coverage required approximately 6–8 times per month, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

 

Position Summary :

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Operating Room team. The ideal candidate will have recent acute care hospital operating room experience and be proficient in both scrub and circulating roles. This position offers a consistent weekday schedule with intermittent on-call responsibilities.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to surgical patients throughout the perioperative process.
• Perform both scrub and circulating nurse duties during surgical procedures.
• Prepare operating rooms, equipment, instruments, and supplies for surgeries.
• Collaborate effectively with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Maintain a sterile environment and adhere to infection prevention protocols.
• Monitor patient safety and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition.
• Accurately document patient care and surgical procedures.
• Participate in on-call coverage as scheduled for emergency and urgent surgical cases.

 

Qualifications Required:

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
• Minimum of 2–3 years of recent Operating Room experience in an acute care hospital setting.
• Demonstrated experience in both Scrub and Circulating roles.
• Strong knowledge of perioperative nursing standards and practices.
• Excellent communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills
