IT CO-ORDINATOR

This role involves the monitoring, auditing and tracking of company IT assets, escalating and following up IT Helpdesk tickets, and assisting team members with small IT issues. Key Job Functions Work with the IT manager to ensure upholding of IT standards. Act as a link between end users and technical support, which includes receiving Emails/Skype/WhatsApp for Helpdesk tickets and escalating to the correct service provider. Escalate urgent calls and other issues (such as calls which take too long) to IT manager. Follow up on calls and verify completion. Maintain peripherals and loan laptops in storage at all sites, and present to staff members as temporary loan devices in case of critical failure. Assist with non-technical calls, which have easy/fast resolution. Audit company computer assets and maintain the asset register. Includes making sure new devices receive asset labels. Monitor printers and order replacement toners when low. Add users to multifunction printers, as requested. Make sure backups are performed, and routinely test restore backups. Monitor server logs for issues and errors. Monitor networks for speed issues and outages. Monitor user site access, data usage etc. Perform other ad-hoc IT projects or tasks as assigned. Qualifications And Experience Minimum: Grade 12 / NQF 4 / IT Certification, A+, N+ etc. Ideal: Diploma in IT Experience: 3 to 5 years related experience Knowledge of Windows Operating Systems (Desktop and Server) A valid driver’s license.
