Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dental Hygienist (RDH) to join our team. In this role, you will provide preventive and periodontal care, educate patients, and support our dentists in delivering outstanding clinical outcomes.

Compensation & Schedule

• Pay: $45–$50 per hour (based on experience)

• Schedule:

  • Fridays: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM

  • Saturdays: 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM

Growth Opportunity: Position expected to expand into a full-time role as the practice continues to grow

What You’ll Do

• Perform dental hygiene procedures including:

  • Prophylaxis

  • Scaling and Root Planing

  • Periodontal Maintenance

  • Debridement and Adjunct Services

• Take digital X-rays and utilize intraoral cameras and scanners

• Conduct oral health screenings and review medical histories

• Accurately chart and document patient records

• Educate patients on oral hygiene and preventive care

• Administer topical anesthetic and monitor nitrous oxide (as permitted)

• Prepare and sterilize instruments in compliance with OSHA and CDC standards

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized clinical environment

• Collaborate closely with the dentist and team to deliver excellent care

• Support practice goals through efficient scheduling and productivity

• Assist with front desk responsibilities as needed, including scheduling, patient check-in/check-out, and phone support

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Dental Hygiene (required)

• Active North Carolina Registered Dental Hygienist license (required)

• Current CPR certification (required)

• Local Anesthesia Certification (preferred)

• 5+ years of experience (required)

• 7-8 years of experience (preferred)

Physical Requirements

This role requires manual dexterity, prolonged sitting, and the ability to perform clinical procedures using dental equipment. Exposure to standard clinical environments (including aerosols and X-ray equipment) is expected. Reasonable accommodations are available.
