Travel Physical Therapist - Acute Care Burn Unit - $2,222 per week

Job Summary TNAA TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Physical Therapist for a 13-week assignment in New Orleans, Louisiana. This travel position requires 40 hours per week with 10-hour day shifts. Responsibilities Oversee supervising PTAs and support staff (therapy technicians) Bill within the respective setting, following facility guidelines Understand the PT board’s rules and regulations and comply within your state Interface with medical center personnel and physicians to ensure a team-focused plan of care Understand adaptive equipment Evaluate and create a plan of care for patients Modify the plan of care based on the patient’s condition Use the medical center computer systems for daily tasks Provide timely and accurate documentation following state and/or insurance guidelines As a PT, you will be responsible for the evaluation, development, and execution of a plan of care for a variety of patient populations in the acute care setting. Requirements Minimum 6 months of experience (1 year preferred); new graduates are encouraged to apply BLS certification and state-specific licensing Physical ability to stand and walk for long periods and bend, lean or stoop with no difficulty Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology Additional certifications may be required before beginning the assignment Compensation Pay package is based on 10-hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
