Warehouse Associate (1st Shift) Full Time Manual Labor, Charlotte, NC, US 5 days ago Requisition ID: 1151 Salary Range: $17.00 To $18.00 Hourly Monday - Friday from 9:30am until 6:30pm Responsibilities Transports incoming and outgoing materials to designated areas physically or by utilizing material handling equipment (hand truck, forklift, reach truck, stock picker, electric pallet jack, pallet jack). Performs quality inspections on incoming and outgoing materials and products. Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or bins according to predetermined inventory procedures. Picks, packs, and ships products. Processes all packages for shipping; processes returned merchandise. Conducts physical inventory counts. Checks product in accordance with receiving paperwork (crosscheck PO against packing list). Labels inventory as needed. Maintains a safe, clean working environment. Participates in quality improvement efforts. Performs other duties as assigned by the manager. Qualifications One to two years of related experience. Familiarity with shipping practices and handling methods. Utilization of a handheld RF scan gun and basic computer skills. Experience with sit-down forklift, reach truck, and stock picker; forklift training required. Valid drivers license. Basic math and writing skills; strong reading comprehension. Problem-solving ability; positive and professional attitude. Strong interpersonal and customer service skills; clear oral communication. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Lifts: capable of lifting 75 pounds without assistance; may lift up to 130 pounds with assistance; could handle 100-1000 boxes per day. Physical demands include climbing, sitting, lifting, walking, stooping, bending, overhead lifting, stairs, and operating forklifts; long periods of standing. Work environment can be cool or hot with moderate to high noise; occasional dusty conditions.
