Finishing Supervisor (Chicago)

We are working with an established, growing metal manufacturing company in Chicago, IL. They are looking for a Finishing Supervisor to lead their coatings operation, which includes multiple powder coating and dip paint lines. This is a great opportunity for an energetic, people-focused leader to build processes from the ground up, make an immediate impact on quality and efficiency, and shape the future of the finishing department.

• 5+ years of experience in finishing processes, including powder coating and/or immersion (dip) paint; dip tank line experience a strong plus
• 3+ years of production supervisor experience in a manufacturing environment; metals, finishing, or coating services industry a plus
• Strong knowledge of paint processes, viscosity, quality inspection, and coating equipment, with the ability to find and fix the root cause of quality issues and equipment problems
• Experience managing preventative maintenance, consumable inventory, and environmental/regulatory reporting (EPA, OSHA)
• Proven ability to lead, train, and develop diverse, multilingual teams; bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
• Takes ownership and enjoys building processes, not just following them
• Thrives in a fast-paced, high-mix environment; stays positive, recovers quickly from setbacks, and makes sound decisions independently
• Primarily first shift (four 10-hour days), with flexibility to support second shift, Friday overtime, and occasional Saturday maintenance
