Practice Setting: Hospital / Ambulatory Cardiology
Seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Cardiologist to provide comprehensive cardiovascular care within an established health system on Long Island, New York.
The physician will work as part of a multidisciplinary cardiovascular team providing evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing management of adult patients with a wide range of cardiovascular conditions.
Clinical ResponsibilitiesEvaluate and manage adult cardiology patients
Provide comprehensive cardiovascular consultations
Diagnose and manage acute and chronic cardiovascular conditions
Develop individualized treatment and follow-up plans
Interpret appropriate cardiac diagnostic testing within scope of practice
Collaborate with cardiology subspecialists and multidisciplinary clinical teams
Coordinate care with primary care physicians and other specialists
Provide evidence-based cardiovascular care
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
Participate in inpatient and/or outpatient cardiology coverage based on departmental needs
Established cardiovascular program
Hospital and ambulatory cardiology settings
Collaborative, multidisciplinary care model
Access to advanced cardiovascular diagnostic services
Strong specialty and subspecialty support
Broad adult cardiology patient population
MD or DO
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiovascular Disease / Cardiology
Completion of an accredited Internal Medicine residency
Completion of a Cardiology fellowship
Active or eligible New York medical license
Current DEA
ACLS/BLS as required
Strong clinical and communication skills
General / Non-Invasive Cardiology experience
Inpatient cardiology consultation experience
Outpatient cardiology experience
Experience interpreting common cardiovascular diagnostic studies
Comfortable managing a broad range of adult cardiovascular conditions
Long Island, New York location
Established cardiovascular practice environment
Inpatient and/or outpatient responsibilities depending on coverage needs
Schedule, call requirements, patient volume, start date, and assignment duration to be confirmed
