Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist physical therapists in implementing treatment plans to help patients regain mobility and function
- Guide patients through therapeutic exercises and activities as prescribed
- Monitor patient progress and report changes to the supervising physical therapist
- Maintain a safe and clean treatment environment while ensuring patient comfort
- Document patient treatments and responses accurately in medical records
- Educate patients and their families on home exercise programs and injury prevention
Qualifications
- Active Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in New Hampshire
- Must be comfortable working in a skilled nursing or rehab setting
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen
- CPR certification preferred
- Prior travel experience is a plus, but not required -- we welcome first-time travelers too!
Education
- Associate's degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong understanding of physical therapy modalities and exercise techniques
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to connect with patients and team members
- Ability to lift and transfer patients safely using proper body mechanics
- Proficient in using electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Flexibility to adapt to different patient needs and facility protocols
