Location: Geisinger Healthplex State College Shift: Days (United States of America) Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 Worker Type: Regular Exemption Status: Yes Job Summary Geisinger, a nationally recognized leader in innovation and quality care, is seeking a Gastroenterologist to join our team in Lewistown/State College PA. The region’s premiere Gastroenterology Group located in State College and Lewistown (Western Region) is seeking a Gastroenterologist to join our stable team of 8 physicians and 5 APPs. Position is due to growth and demand. This dedicated high‑level, high‑volume practice includes interventional endoscopy and hepatology and is integrated with the larger health system. Responsibilities Provide patient care across a fully integrated health system with a robust electronic health record (EPIC) Teach fellows, residents, and medical students and participate in clinical and endoscopic research as faculty of the Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including embedded pharmacists for management of HepatitisC and Inflammatory Bowel Disease Collaborate with specialists in surgical specialties (Thoracic Surgery, Surgical Oncology, Colorectal Surgery), interventional radiology, and oncology services Qualifications Education: Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (required) Licensure: Licensed Medical Doctor – State of Pennsylvania Experience: Certification(s) and practical experience in gastroenterology Skills: Patient care and procedural skills, professional etiquette, systems‑based practice, interventional endoscopy, and hepatology Benefits Competitive starting salary with sign‑on bonuses and loans available.
