Work Environment

As an onsite position within our Rehabilitation Center, you will work directly with patients in a dedicated therapy setting. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients through a thorough review of medical histories and specific health assessments to inform treatment plans.
• Clearly communicate assessment findings and collaborate with patients and their families to set reachable health goals.
• Implement individualized treatment protocols based on patient needs, utilizing evidence-based practices to adjust care as necessary.
• Consult with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to augment patient care and modify treatment plans according to changes in patient conditions.
• Take charge of discharge planning, ensuring continuity of care and follow-up to promote successful recovery.
• Document all patient care activities meticulously, producing daily encounter notes, progress summaries, and discharge evaluations in a timely manner.
• Utilize effective time management strategies to maintain productivity and meet departmental benchmarks.
• Engage in community outreach and marketing initiatives to promote the clinic's services and foster patient access to care.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and continuing education to enhance personal expertise and organizational capabilities.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily work with patients recovering from orthopedic injuries, surgeries, and chronic musculoskeletal conditions. Your focus will encompass a diverse range of individuals, from athletes seeking rehabilitation to older adults working to enhance their mobility and quality of life. By offering tailored therapies and encouraging an active lifestyle, you play a crucial role in their recovery journey and overall well-being.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy, with the possibility of pursuing a Doctorate in Physical Therapy to enhance your skill set and knowledge.
• Current state license for physical therapy as per Virginia regulations.
• Certification from the American Heart Association in Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers.

Preferred Experience

While prior work experience in a rehabilitation setting is not required, candidates with any clinical internship experience or relevant hands-on training will find their application closely aligned with our ideals of excellence in patient care and treatment methodologies.

Compensation and Benefits
