About the Role

The Company is seeking a Chief Credit Officer (CCO) to join its team. The CCO will be a key strategic leader, responsible for overseeing all credit and portfolio risk management functions. This includes maintaining a high-quality loan portfolio, minimizing credit losses, and ensuring sound credit risk management in line with the organization's mission to advance equitable community development. The successful candidate will be tasked with balancing prudent credit risk management with the commitment to expanding access to capital and achieving meaningful community impact. The role also involves leading the development of credit-related reporting, coordinating with external stakeholders, and supporting the organization's long-term financial sustainability and capital stewardship objectives. The ideal candidate for the CCO position at the company will have at least 15 years' of experience in affordable housing finance, credit risk management, commercial lending, or related fields, with a strong background in community development-oriented finance. They should possess a deep understanding of real estate-based lending, complex deal structuring, and risk mitigation strategies. The CCO will be expected to demonstrate exceptional leadership characteristics, including the ability to influence across functions, a commitment to developing talent, and a deep commitment to racial equity and impact in community and financial systems. A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required, with a preference for an MBA or advanced degree. The role demands a professional with a collaborative and inclusive leadership style, strong strategic and analytical capabilities, and the resilience to lead through change and complexity.
