Role Description The Commercial Insurance Account Manager is a full-time, hybrid role based in St. Petersburg, FL, with flexibility for partial work from home. This position manages a portfolio of commercial clients, handling day-to-day service needs such as policy changes, coverage inquiries, renewals, and certificates of insurance. The role includes reviewing coverage, preparing proposals, assisting with claims reporting and follow-up, and coordinating with carriers to resolve issues promptly. The Account Manager will collaborate with producers and internal team members to ensure accurate documentation, maintain client records, and support new business onboarding. Regular client communication by phone and email. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong Account Management skills, including organizing client files, managing renewals, and prioritizing multiple client needs. Candidates should possess excellent Customer Service and Communication skills, with the ability to explain coverage clearly and respond promptly to client requests. Candidates should possess solid Insurance knowledge, particularly in commercial property, auto, liability, workers’ compensation, and related products. Candidates should possess Sales-related skills, such as identifying coverage gaps, supporting cross-selling opportunities, and preparing proposals. Relevant qualifications include prior experience in commercial insurance account management or a related role, and an active Property & Casualty insurance license (or willingness to obtain one).
