Position Title: Lecturer - College of Agriculture, Food and Environmental Sciences Job Category: Academic Staff Employment Type: Temporary (Fixed Term) Job Profile: Lecturer Job Duties: The UW-River Falls College of Agriculture, Food and Environmental Sciences (CAFES) maintains a pool of qualified candidates from which part-time staff may be drawn to fill vacancies on a temporary basis in various departments and disciplines. Successful applicants become members of a pool of temporary instructional academic staff eligible to teach, based upon the needs of the department, funding and availability of the prospective staff member. Key Job Responsibilities: Develops instructional design and curriculum relevant to a course of instruction Facilitates classroom, online and/or laboratory instruction for one or more courses, including assessment of student performance Serves as an initial point of contact for students as it relates to specific course or series content and expectations Lecturers may be hired in the following areas: Agricultural Economics Agricultural Education Agricultural Engineering Technology Animal and Food Science Plant and Earth Science Required Qualifications: Teaching experience in area of expertise Additional qualifications may be required dependent on the department or area Preferred Qualifications: Strong communication skills: listening, speaking, and writing (including proofreading and editing) Teaching experience at a college level Education: Master's or terminal degree in related discipline is required How to Apply: Applicants are required to apply online.
