Think Big Youth Organization - Program Development & Capacity Building Assistant (AmeriCorps VISTA) Empowering Today's Youth for Tomorrow Think Big Youth Organization is a nonprofit dedicated to empowering today's youth for tomorrow through academic enrichment, character development, STEM education, workforce readiness, and community engagement. We believe every child deserves access to high-quality educational opportunities regardless of where they live or their family's income. To reduce barriers to participation, many of our programs are delivered directly within underserved communities, including affordable housing developments, community centers, schools, and partner organizations throughout Southeast Georgia. By bringing services directly to families, we eliminate transportation challenges while creating safe, engaging learning environments where students can thrive. As Think Big continues to grow, we are seeking an energetic, innovative, and mission-driven Program Development & Capacity Building Assistant (AmeriCorps VISTA) to help strengthen our organization, expand our programs, and increase our long-term impact. Program Assistant Responsibilities The Program Assistant will support Think Big Youth Organization by: Assisting with the planning and implementation of after‑school, summer, and enrichment programs. Supporting academic, STEM, literacy, arts, and character development activities for youth. Assisting with workforce development and career exploration initiatives for middle and high school students. Conducting grant research and assisting with grant writing to support organizational growth and sustainability. Managing program data, maintaining databases, and assisting with outcome measurement, reporting, and evaluation. Collecting and analyzing program data to measure student outcomes and organizational impact. Supporting fundraising initiatives and donor engagement efforts. Supporting volunteer recruitment, training, scheduling, and recognition. Building relationships with schools, community organizations, funders, businesses, and local partners. Assisting with special events, family engagement activities, and community service projects. Helping develop systems that improve program quality, organizational capacity, and long-term sustainability.
