Job Overview A law firm seeks a Junior to Midlevel Associate to join the Life Sciences subgroup of the Intellectual Property practice group in Chicago, Milwaukee, Madison, Raleigh, Denver, or Salt Lake City. The candidate must have over three years of patent prosecution experience and the ability to draft patent applications. A Ph.D. in Biology, Biochemistry, or a related life-science field is preferred, along with admission to the USPTO. Duties Draft and prosecute patent applications. Collaborate with a team of legal professionals. Communicate effectively with clients. Provide strategic IP counsel to clients. Requirements 3+ years of patent prosecution experience. Ability to work independently and in a team. Strong legal judgment and business strategy skills. Flexibility to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Education Ph.D. in Biology, Biochemistry, or related field preferred. Certifications Admission to the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) preferred.
