Title
Registered Nurse 1 - Correctional Health

Requirements
- Current, valid Registered Professional Nurse license and registration in the state
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Minimum 1 year of nursing experience
- Preferred experience in medical-surgical, ambulatory care, or mental health
- Familiarity with medication management (including controlled substances), wound care, and emergency response procedures
- Experience with electronic charting systems

Roles & Responsibilities
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, including controlled substances
- Monitor and assess patient vital signs and health status
- Provide wound care and participate in health screenings
- Participate in emergency response situations
- Document patient care and progress accurately
- Educate patients about their health conditions and treatment plans

Compliance / Notes
- Must clear state Criminal History Form prior to start (up to 4 weeks may be required)
- Accepts first-time travelers and local travelers at the same rate
- Returning staff must have been absent from any facility in the state for 2 years to be eligible
