The Operational Buyer I supports a high-impact purchasing function within the Liquid Analysis division. This role collaborates with internal teams, suppliers, and Order Management to ensure timely, efficient, and cost-effective sourcing of products and components. Key Responsibilities

The Operational Buyer I supports a high-impact purchasing function within the Liquid Analysis division. This role collaborates with internal teams, suppliers, and Order Management to ensure timely, efficient, and cost-effective sourcing of products and components. Key Responsibilities
- Create and process purchase orders using SAP ERP
- Monitor and manage open order reports to ensure on-time delivery
- Research product lines, pricing, availability, and supplier capabilities
- Request and evaluate vendor quotes based on cost, specifications, and suitability
- Maintain accurate purchasing records and supplier data
- Act as liaison between suppliers, internal teams, and contractors
- Review orders for compliance and prepare reports
- Troubleshoot invoice discrepancies
- Support reverse logistics and related purchasing functions
- High School Diploma or GED (required)
- AA/AS or coursework in purchasing, accounting, or related field (preferred)
- Bachelor's degree (a plus)
- Experience in purchasing, buying, or supply chain roles
- SAP experience strongly preferred
- Knowledge of sourcing, supplier evaluation, and commodity markets
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Teams
- Familiarity with SharePoint
- Ability to interpret technical specifications and drawings
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- APICS CPIM certification (preferred, not required)
- Team-oriented with a proactive, "can-do" mindset
- Frequent sitting, standing, and walking
- Regular use of hands for handling and reaching
- Constant computer use (close visual focus)
- Occasional lifting up to 10 lbs
