Student Technician

Performs a combination of field, technical, and entry-level support work assisting Environmental Scientists, Land Managers, Engineers, and program staff. Under supervision, the intern contributes to ongoing projects, maintains organized records, and learns relevant tools, procedures, and County practices. The role requires attention to detail, willingness to learn, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively with team members to support departmental goals.


QUALIFICATIONS

This position requires qualified applicants to possess the following:

• Must be a current student in an accredited schooling program, university, or college.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Preferred qualifications include:

• Experience with organization and filing,

• Customer service and public contact experience,

• Experience with prioritizing work assignments, adjusting to changing work assignments, meeting deadlines, and working with accuracy, and

• Experience working harmoniously as a team member in a teamwork environment.
