Structural (Bridge) Engineer

Job Description Dewberry is seeking a Structural (Bridge) Engineer interested in developing their career to join our structures department in any of our Virginia offices . The successful candidate will be part of a team designing simple and complex bridges (primarily concrete and steel construction) and a variety of transportation related structures (retaining walls, culverts, and other ancillary structures). The candidate will be involved in the development of Plans, Specifications, and Estimate (PS&E) packages. Required Skills & Required Experience BS in Civil Engineering with a focus in Structural engineering required; MS preferred. 5+ years of progressive experience working on structural and bridge engineering projects. Virginia Professional Engineer (PE) License is preferred or ability to obtain within 1-2 years. Familiarity with AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Specifications; experience with VDOT and/or MD SHA standards preferred. Knowledge of OpenBridge Designer, Leap Bridge Concrete, CSiBridge, and/or similar analysis programs preferred. Proficiency using CADD (Microstation preferred). Strong written and written communication skills Strong leadership skills and desire to deliver the highest quality projects to our clients. Desire to work in a team environment. The projected range for this position is $86,000 - $111,000 annually. Depending upon other factors, i.e., skills, experience, location, market conditions, the range may vary slightly. *Must have a valid driver’s license, good driving record and ability to pass a driving record background check.* At this time, Dewberry will not sponsor a new applicant for work authorization.
