Registered Nurse - Telemetry

Job Description

Job Summary:

Seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse with telemetry experience to provide high-quality patient care during evening and overnight shifts. The role involves monitoring cardiac patients and ensuring timely interventions to promote patient stability.

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate patient conditions and administer appropriate nursing care in accordance with protocols.
• Monitor cardiac telemetry equipment to detect arrhythmias and other cardiac events.
• Document patient progress, interventions, and responses accurately in electronic health records.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and update patient care plans.
• Respond promptly to patient alarms and emergent situations, providing immediate interventions.
• Educate patients and families about cardiac conditions and post-discharge care instructions.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license in the respective state.
• Minimum of 1-2 years of recent telemetry nursing experience.
• Proficiency in operating cardiac monitoring systems and interpreting EKG rhythms.
• Strong critical thinking and quick decision-making skills.
• Ability to work night shifts, including evenings and weekends.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
