Assistant Director Of FinancePosition Summary - Annual Salary $90,000.00 - $100,000.00Join Our Team:We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical Assistant Director of Finance to support the financial operations of Hotel Yountville and Bardessono. This leadership position partners closely with hotel General Managers, Directors of Operations, Centralized Accounting and the Regional Director of Finance to ensure accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, and achievement of financial objectives across multiple properties. The ideal candidate possesses strong hospitality and accounting experience and a thorough understanding of hotel financial operations and USALI standards.Financial Leadership:Assist in overseeing accounting and finance functions for multiple hotel propertiesSupport monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processesReview financial statements and operational reports for accuracy and completenessAnalyze operating results and provide meaningful variance explanations and recommendationsAssist ownership groups and executive leadership with financial reporting requirementsBudgeting, Forecasting & Analysis:Support the annual budget preparation processParticipate in monthly forecasting and long-range financial planningAnalyze labor costs, departmental expenses, and profitability trendsIdentify opportunities to improve margins, increase efficiency, and drive cash flowCompliance & Internal Controls:Ensure compliance with company accounting policies, brand standards, and regulatory requirementsMaintain strong internal controls to safeguard company assetsAssist with internal and external auditsMonitor balance sheet reconciliations and ensure timely resolution of outstanding itemsOperational Partnership:Work closely with hotel leadership teams to improve financial performanceAnalyze key hotel performance indicators, including:OccupancyADRRevPARCPORLabor ProductivityFlow-ThroughGOP MarginProvide actionable insights to support strategic decision-makingDaily Accounting:Balancing of income journalsAccounts Receivable posting and billingAP approvals as neededQualifications Required:Minimum 4 years of progressive hotel accounting or finance experienceStrong understanding of hospitality accounting principles and USALI reportingAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft ExcelStrong analytical, organizational, and communication skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities across several hotel locationsPreferred:Multi-property hotel accounting experienceExperience as Assistant Director of Finance, Assistant Controller, Controller, or Accounting ManagerExperience with Profitsword, Sage Intacct, Opera, Toast, Book4Time, and FloQast, or similar hospitality systemsPlease note this job description is considered to be a general outline of the position and is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
