Job Opportunity – Locum Tenens OBGYN Physician – Kentucky

Start Date: November 25-29, 2024 (initial coverage period with potential for 6-7 days monthly ongoing)

Location: Paducah, Kentucky

Compensation: Competitive locum tenens rates provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 24-hour call shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 AM), in-house and phone/beeper call coverage required. Weekend and holiday coverage included.

Highlights:

• EMTALA call coverage for inpatient obstetric and gynecologic services
• Low to moderate patient volume with 1-6 patients per day; 700-800 total deliveries annually
• Collaborative environment with daily midwife coverage; midwives manage and deliver their own patients
• EPIC EMR system with onsite labs, ultrasound, and Level II nursery
• Full scope of OB procedures including routine and complicated deliveries, C-sections, VBACs, and repair of 3rd/4th degree lacerations
• GYN call coverage required; 140-190 Labor & Delivery triage visits per month

Requirements:

• Board Certified or Board Eligible by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology
• Active Kentucky state medical license or IMLC eligibility
• Current BLS and DEA certifications
• Must be available for initial coverage November 25-29, 2024
• Credentialing timeframe approximately 90 days (expedited processing available; temporary privileges may be available)
