The 3P Credit Card Installments team owns the services that enable third-party credit card issuers across North America to deliver compelling financial offer experiences to Amazon customers. Key job responsibilities Define, design, and implement AI‑Native multi‑tier distributed software applications. Deliver high quality distributed system software using AIDLC lifecycle. Estimate support effort, plan implementation of quality features, and rollout system changes that meet requirements for functionality, performance, scalability, reliability, and adherence to development goals and principles. Automate partner integration using AI‑DLC and ensure a high standard of quality for all of the team deliverables. Must be able to effectively collaborate in a fast paced environment with multiple teams in a large organization (software development, QA, Project/Release Management, Build and Release, etc). Provide on‑call production support for payment platform applications. About the team The 3P Credit Card Installments team owns the services that enable third‑party credit card issuers across North America to deliver compelling financial offer experiences to Amazon customers. Our mission: connect the right financial offer to the right customer at the right time. We are an AI‑native team — our engineers exclusively use the AI Development Lifecycle (AI DLC) across all stages of software delivery, from design and implementation through testing, deployment, and operations. AI‑assisted development is not supplemental to our workflow; it is our workflow. Basic Qualifications 3+ years of non‑internship professional software development experience. 2+ years of non‑internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience. 1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience. 1+ years of designing and developing large‑scale, multi‑tiered, multi‑threaded, embedded or distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using C#, C++, Java, or Perl experience. 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience. Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field. Experience programming with at least one software programming language. Preferred Qualifications 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience. Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
