Gray, LA: Flexicrew Technical Services (FTS) is seeking a Shop Hand

Flexicrew Technical Services (FTS) is seeking dependable Shop Hands to support daily shop operations in Gray, LA. This position is responsible for cleaning, painting, inspecting, organizing, and preparing tools and equipment for customer jobs. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, safety-focused, and willing to work in a fast-paced industrial shop environment.

Schedule:

• Monday–Friday: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Saturdays & Sundays: 8:00 AM until work is completed, as needed
• On-call availability may be required

Pay:

• $19.00/hour

Essential Duties:

• Clean, inspect, and prepare tools and equipment for field use.
• Pressure wash, paint, and preserve tools and equipment.
• Assist with the assembly and disassembly of mechanical equipment and tools.
• Load and unload materials using forklifts, overhead cranes, and other material handling equipment.
• Organize and maintain the shop, tool yard, and inventory.
• Perform general housekeeping and shop cleanup to maintain a safe work environment.
• Conduct basic maintenance on shop equipment and report repair needs.
• Accurately identify, tag, and document tools before shipment and upon return.
• Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and housekeeping standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements/Skills:

• Previous shop, warehouse, or general labor experience preferred.
• Mechanical aptitude and the ability to use basic hand tools.
• Forklift and overhead crane experience is a plus but not required.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail.
• Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and on-call as needed.
• Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Frequent standing, walking, bending, twisting, reaching, and lifting throughout the shift.
• Ability to work in an industrial shop environment.
• Must be able to wear required PPE, including a hard hat, safety glasses, and safety toe shoes or boots.
