Anesthesiologist Opportunity

Bon Secours Harbour View Medical Center in Suffolk, VA is seeking an anesthesiologist to join the team. Great work/life balance and providing anesthesia services within a known and respected hospital system. Case assignments include Ortho, General, Urology, Plastics, ENT, Vascular, and GYN. Shifts are two weeks on one week off: schedule provides 17 weeks off per year.

Responsibilities include assisting in the directing and coordinating of activities in the Anesthesia Department, responsible for the medical management of patients who are rendered unconscious and/or insensible to pain and emotional stress during surgery and other medical procedures. Pre-anesthesia assessment, obtaining and/or verifying patient consent, discussing anesthetic options and risks with the patient, induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia, monitoring of the patient's physiological condition, and performance of clinical intervention as needed.

Requirements include an M.D./D.O. degree from an accredited College of Medicine, ECFMG and FLEX, completion of an approved residency in anesthesia, and currently licensed as a physician.
