The representation includes legal research, preparing pleadings, drafting briefs and legal memoranda, conducting all aspects of discovery including e-discovery, motions practice, providing legal advice to clients, court appearances, and trial and appellate work – in addition to providing or receiving mentorship while working closely with other attorneys in the Unit. Minimum Qualifications• Admission to the Virginia State Bar required.• The position requires exceptional written and verbal communication skills, proficiency in time management, the ability to manage a challenging caseload, and a willingness to assist and supervise others.• Candidates must also demonstrate the ability to work well under pressure and adjust priorities without close supervision.• Ability to work independently, but also closely with a team of dedicated attorneys and staff in a collegial environment.Additional ConsiderationsA minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of civil litigation experience in federal or state court is preferred; similar litigation experience will be considered.Through this posting, we are seeking applicants at both junior and senior levels, with junior levels having a minimum of at least three years of practice.
