Software Engineer - Applications & Integration

Salary: $120,000 - 150,000 per year Requirements:

• 3 to 6 years of experience building production software and continuing to own it after launch
• Strong SQL and data modeling skills, including the ability to design schemas and modify live databases safely
• Experience shipping with a server-side language; we use Go, and strong experience in Python, C#, Java, or TypeScript is also relevant
• Practical experience integrating with third-party APIs
• Hands-on experience with a major cloud platform; we work in Azure
• Clear written communication, with the ability to document designs thoughtfully
• Full-stack capability is a plus, though the role is primarily backend-focused
• Healthcare experience, especially with HIPAA or 42 CFR Part 2, is a plus
• Background in behavioral health, addiction treatment, or clinical research is a plus
• Experience with Terraform or similar infrastructure-as-code tools is a plus
• Comfort working with server-rendered web applications and without heavy front-end frameworks is a plus

• Own a meaningful area of the platform from schema design through services and APIs
• Design, deliver, and operate backend systems in production, including live database changes
• Build and maintain integrations with third-party APIs
• Write design documentation and communicate technical decisions clearly
• Deploy to production early in the role and begin managing a feature area within the first few months
• Work toward independently designing and shipping a substantial subsystem within the first year
