Mother Baby Registered Nurse

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Special Care Nursery/Level II position requiring delivery room and charge nurse experience along with NRP and STABLE certifications. Requirements Active RN license (MD or Compact) required Current certifications: BLS, NRP, and STABLE Minimum 2 years of recent experience within the last 7 years Must have completed at least one prior travel assignment Charge nurse experience required Preceptor experience required Delivery room experience required Special Care Nursery/Level II experience required Responsibilities Special Care Nursery/Level II setting within a hospital nursery unit Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts (6:50 PM to 7:20 AM) May also be scheduled 3x12 Day/Night shifts Every other weekend required Will float to postpartum unit for baby care assignments Scrubs provided Provide comprehensive newborn care including assessment, thermoregulation, and discharge teaching to parents Perform IV therapy including starting and maintaining IVs Care for newborns with conditions such as hypoglycemia, low birth weight, and large for gestational age Assist with circumcision procedures and post-op site assessment, including parent education Manage neonatal abstinence syndrome and administer phototherapy as needed Follow isolation precautions and PPE protocols Administer vaccines as required Local candidates within 60 miles accepted at a lower rate Nurses with previous MedStar employment must have been separated for at least one year before returning as a traveler RTO limited to no more than 7 days per 13-week contract, with no time off permitted during the first two weeks of the assignment Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Job ID: P-756622 Open Positions: 1 #J-18808-Ljbffr
