Staff assess the client’s needs holistically and connect them with internal and external services as required. Under the direction of a designated Clinical Supervisor, the Fee‑for‑Service Licensed Social Worker is responsible for direct service to clients in the Agency’s outpatient mental health programs. Services are delivered professionally, ethically, and in accordance with best practice tenets. The worker functions as part of a treatment team, maintains mandated levels of service, participates in Agency meetings, and complies with all policies and procedures. Responsibilities Perform initial interview, crisis intervention, and ongoing therapy with individuals, groups, and families. Adhere to all standards of contract compliance, audit readiness, Agency policies, and regulatory requirements. Meet Agency documentation requirements, including progress notes, treatment plans, intake assessments, correspondence, termination summaries, encounter forms, and other necessary documentation. Ensure referrals are made to appropriate internal and external services to meet the needs of the consumer and their families. Respond to referrals promptly and follow up to ensure effective collaboration and high levels of service provision. Provide direct service: conduct individual, family, marital, and group therapy as dictated by the client’s clinical needs. Manage caseload size based on agreed schedule and hours worked. Monitor and coordinate psychiatrist psychopharmacology appointments. Coordinate physical, medical, and psychological needs for clients. Complete and submit all billing documentation within 24 hours of the session to support Agency reimbursement. Maintain audit readiness standards. Attend and actively participate in supervision. Participate in Agency response to serious incidents as needed. Engage in meetings with supervisor and staff trainings, planning, and evaluation of individual work and agency functioning. Receive supervision from a consultant LCSW toward clinical licensure (not paid; agency pays an external contractor). Complete up to 21 hours of CEU training; training is paid by the Agency, but Fee‑for‑Service staff are not paid for training time. Reimbursement for Services Brief session: 30 minutes - $25 per session Full session: 45 minutes - $45 per session Approx. 1 hour and write‑up - $60 per session Language differential - NA $5.00 per session Fee‑for‑service clinician payment is based on the delivery of a pre‑approved face‑to‑face service. Documentation must be received and certified by supervisor prior to payment. Reimbursable face‑to‑face services include the following: The agency does not reimburse clinicians if the scheduled service is not provided. Treatment coordination is a required task for all fee‑for‑service clinicians and is included in the face‑to‑face rate. Ancillary services such as revision of treatment plans, completion of documentation, and submission of billing are integral to service provision and will not be reimbursed beyond the session and evaluation rate. Qualifications Master’s Degree in Social Work from a nationally accredited institution. Valid NYS LMSW required. Must obtain NPI prior to start date. Must obtain and maintain all licensure and certifications for which the employee is eligible in NY State. Excellent time management, organizational, and computer skills; ability to evaluate and intervene in crisis situations; flexibility; and strong oral and written communication skills.
