Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Test Engineering Specialist to support test activities for solid rocket motor development, qualification, and production programs within a defense environment. Key responsibilities include developing detailed test plans, procedures, and instrumentation setups; overseeing hardware readiness; managing test fixtures, pressure systems, and test stand integration; The specialist leads real-time test execution, including monitoring performance parameters, diagnosing anomalies, and ensuring safe conduct of all operations in a high-hazard environment.

Essential Functions

• Applies standard engineering techniques to design, analyze, test, maintain, repair, or improve products, components, or assemblies.
• Analyzes, develops and evaluates systems.
• Improves and maintains current systems or creates brand new projects.
• Designs and drafts blueprints, visits systems in the field and manages projects.
• Applies engineering techniques and analyses within the scope of the assignment.
Required Qualifications
• Required education and experience: Associate's Degree and 5-7 years' experience OR Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education &/or Experience
• Critical professional related technical skills; computer skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Preferred Qualifications
• Preferred education and experience: Bachelor's Degree
• Knowledge, skills & abilities: Oral and written communication skills. Critical thinking. Analytical thinking. Problem solving skills. Mathematic skills. Computer skills. Technical expertise.
Physical Requirements
• Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time.
• Requires regular movement throughout GD-OTS facilities.
• May need to stand for long periods of time.
• Work may require employee to work inside and outside with exposure to changing climate and/or operate machinery.
• This position is Safety-Sensitive.
Travel Requirements
Up to 25% travel likely.
