About the Role
The Company is seeking an AVP, Enterprise Risk Management to play a pivotal role in the evolution and elevation of its enterprise risk management program. The successful candidate will be a key leader in shaping the ERM strategy, leading the development and maturity of the ERM program, and ensuring its alignment with business strategy, regulatory expectations, and industry best practices. This highly visible position involves partnering with senior leadership to drive strategic ERM initiatives, continuous improvement, and the delivery of actionable risk insights. The role also includes strengthening risk governance and operations, influencing across the organization, and building a risk-aware culture through training and awareness programs. Applicants for the AVP, Enterprise Risk Management role at the company should have a minimum of 8 years' of progressive experience in enterprise risk, audit, compliance, legal, or a related function within a regulated financial environment. A strong track record in leading enterprise risk assessments and advising senior leadership is essential, as is the ability to influence cross-functional initiatives and operate independently in complex environments. The role requires a Bachelor's degree, with an advanced degree being a plus, and a relevant professional certification. Experience in credit unions or financial services is strongly preferred. The ideal candidate will be a trusted advisor, with the ability to build strong relationships and drive alignment without direct authority, and will be committed to promoting a proactive, risk-informed mindset at all levels of the organization.
