Social Service Caseworker

Overview The Caseworker will provide resources to clients and assist in the food pantry. Duties and Responsibilities Answer incoming calls and direct calls Enter applicant information into Excel spreadsheets through The Salvation Army online database Assist clients in the social service lobby Maintain client records, donations, and Salvation Army statistics Intake clients seeking emergency food box and utility assistance Maintain cleanliness of pantry, stock shelves, and fill food boxes Provide data entry for social services Assist with Christmas events Participate in staff meetings Pick up donations Other duties as required Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent (required) CA Driver’s license (required) 21 years old (required) Experience with Microsoft programs Experience in Social Services (1 year preferred) Skills and Abilities Bilingual in Spanish (preferred) Ability to communicate effectively Team player Detail oriented Equipment Used Modern Office Equipment and Relevant Software Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
