Senior Accountant

Location: Rochester, MN (Office-based with occasional local travel) Job Type: Full-Time / Exempt Pay: $80,000 - $100,000 / year (Target: $85K–$92K based on experience) About the Role International Quality Homecare is hiring a Senior Accountant to oversee general ledger management, month-end/year-end closing, and healthcare revenue reconciliations. Reporting directly to the Controller/CFO, you will play a key role in financial reporting, budgeting, and internal control optimizations. Key Responsibilities General Ledger & Month-End Close: Prepare journal entries, perform account reconciliations, and execute timely financial closing procedures. Healthcare Revenue & AR: Reconcile Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance billing against bank deposits and ledger balances. AP & Cash Management: Oversee vendor payables, monitor cash flow, and reconcile operating and payroll bank accounts. Payroll & Benefits Accounting: Track payroll liabilities, taxes, and benefit expenses in coordination with HR. Financial Analysis & Budgeting: Develop budget-to-actual variance reports and assist leadership with forecasting and operational decision-making. Audit & Compliance: Support external audits, maintain tax filing documentation, and enforce GAAP and internal financial controls. Qualifications Required Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. 3–5+ years of progressive accounting experience. Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, complex formulas, financial modeling). Strong understanding of GAAP and balance sheet reconciliations. Preferred Experience in healthcare, home health, hospice, or senior care accounting. Familiarity with Medicare/Medicaid reimbursement and billing systems. Active CPA certification or CPA candidate.
