Receiving Forklift OperatorLocation: West Norriton Township, PAOnsite Flexibility: OnsiteContract DetailsPosition Type: ContractContract Duration: 3 monthsPay Rate: $18.00 / Hour (USD)Shift / Schedule: Day shift, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM / Eastern Time ZoneWork Authorization: Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.Job SummaryThis role is responsible for shipping, receiving, and routing of materials into and out of the Business Unit (BU), as well as the appropriate documentation and data entry.Key ResponsibilitiesReceive, inspect, verify, process and route all materials into the facility and off-site facilities (remote sites) and enter the receipts in the Materials Management software system.Notify the Warehouse Manager of any discrepancies of materials versus shipping documentation.Prepare shipments, including documentation, for outbound shipments.Manage the Returned Goods process according to the Returned Goods SOP.Deliver stock to the appropriate staging area for departments.Put warehoused items in the designated storage areas and rotate stock according to receipt date and expiration dates to ensure proper stock rotation and use prior to expiration.Note any short dated materials upon receipt (less than 30 days of shelf life) and report to the Warehouse Manager to determine any possible actions that may need taken.Assist in cycle count and full physical inventory.Comply with all applicable and current Materials and Services Management, Human Resources, Employee Health and Safety, Compliance, OSHA, CLIA, etc. policies and procedures.Analyze current procedures in place and make recommendations for process improvements to the Warehouse Manager.Assist in order entry, picking, packing and delivery of both internal and external orders as needed.Assist in record storage and retrieval process as needed.Assist in preparation, receipt and distribution of internal, inbound and external mail as needed.Verify counts of delivered goods, perform the receiving and validation of the product received, and enter receipts into the receiving system.Perform other duties as required.Required SkillsBasic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)Strong problem solving skillsGood communication skillsGood record keeping skillsAbility to operate a computer, printer and bar code scannerWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, etc.) or equivalentAble to work effectively in a team environmentAbility to operate materials handling equipment as needed (fork lift, pallet jack, etc.)Preferred SkillsSome data entry experience preferredEducation RequirementsMinimum High School diploma or equivalent (preferred)Required ExperienceSix months previous materials management experienceWork Environment / Physical RequirementsMust be able to lift up to seventy (70) poundsSafety Shoes Required: Lace-up only styles — no pull-ups or loafer-styles; steel toe; metatarsal protection not required; athletic styles are acceptable; waterproof/oil resistant not required; high slip resistance preferredA 1-day leniency policy applies for safety shoe compliance upon arrival; failure to comply will result in being asked to leaveBenefitsMedical, Vision, and Dental Insurance Plans401k Retirement FundAbout the ClientThis client is a world-leading provider of diagnostic information services in the healthcare industry, serving one in three adult Americans annually and supporting half of the physicians and hospitals across the United States, with laboratory operations extending internationally.
