Purchasing/Material Planner
Eastridge Workforce Solutions is hiring a Purchasing/Material Planner for a growing energy technology startup in Sorrento Valley. This role will manage day-to-day purchasing, supplier coordination, and material planning while helping develop scalable processes to support R&D and manufacturing.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage RFQs, supplier quotes, purchase orders, pricing, lead times, and delivery follow-up.
- Maintain material and supplier trackers and proactively identify shortages or schedule risks.
- Coordinate materials and shipments between suppliers, R&D, and manufacturing.
- Maintain BOM, pricing, purchasing, and supplier documentation.
- Partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Finance to resolve purchasing and material issues.
- Support continuous improvement of purchasing and material planning processes.
Requirements:
- 2+ years of purchasing, procurement, supply chain, or material planning experience.
- Manufacturing, hardware, or technical purchasing experience preferred.
- Proficiency with Excel or Google Sheets; ERP/MRP experience preferred.
- Experience with BOMs and ability to understand engineering drawings or technical documentation.
- Strong supplier management, organization, communication, and follow-through.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment.
