Automotive Technician

Automotive Technician OpportunitySullivan Tire, an employee-owned company, currently has an opportunity for an Automotive Technician. The Automotive Technician independently performs vehicle repairs and services on customer's vehicles while delivering the highest quality and customer satisfaction.ResponsibilitiesCorrectly mounts, dismounts, balancing, and repair of passenger and light truck tires.Properly perform lube/oil/filter changes on domestic and foreign cars.Properly perform and document vehicle safety inspections.Perform unsupervised diagnosis and repairs of vehicles including, but not limited to, maintenance, brake, steering, suspension, heating and cooling systems, alignment, and light tune-ups utilizing automotive tools, equipment, and software (i.e., VAST, Automotive PC programs).Produce accurate repair estimates on customer vehicles.Work with store management to ensure productivity, profitability, and customer satisfaction standards are met.Properly adhere to safety and environmental standards, including maintaining a neat and clean work area by properly disposing of all waste products.Communicate with customers and sales staff in understandable terms about the repairs needed to the vehicle and the value of the repairs.Adheres to internal controls, policies, and procedures.Assume other responsibilities as needed.RequirementsEducation/Experience:High school diploma or equivalent.A technical degree is a plus!Minimum of 1 year of experience with 1-3 ASE certifications.A valid Driver's License is required.Skills/Knowledge:Customer service focus in a retail environmentAbility to lift 40-50 lbs.Basic conflict resolution skillsSolid understanding of the automotive tire and auto service industryBasic understanding of VAST and automotive PC programs.Basic math skills to produce accurate repair estimates.Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environmentTeam playerBenefitsHealth Insurance- including Medical, Vision, and DentalLife and Disability InsurancePaid Holidays, Personal Time, and Vacation TimeDiscounted ServicesEmployee Owned!
