Job Description – Network Architect (Co-location & Data Center)

Location: Frederick, Maryland, United States (Onsite)

Long Term Contract On C2C

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Network Architect in designing and implementing network solutions for colocation and future Urbana Data Center initiatives. This is a consulting role focused on architecture, solutioning, and migration support.

Key Responsibilities

· Design and architect network solutions across colo and multi-site environments

· Lead colo migration activities, including DIA/Fiber connectivity across sites

· Develop high-level and low-level network designs

· Implement high-speed LAN (25G/100G) and WAN (10G+) connectivity

· Ensure network performance, scalability, and security

· Support integration with storage, virtualization, and telephony systems

Required Skills & Technologies

· Cisco Nexus 9000 switches and enterprise routing

· Palo Alto Firewalls (PA-3440 & 1420)

· SD-WAN, VLANs, network segmentation

· DIA/Fiber connectivity across multiple data centers

· Experience with:

o Pure Storage replication

o VMware vMotion

o Avaya / MS Teams telephony

o Server platforms (Dell PowerEdge, Cisco UCS – preferred)

Experience & Qualifications

· 10+ years in network engineering/architecture

· Proven colocation (colo) migration experience

· Strong hands-on expertise in multi-site network design

Certifications

· Cisco CCIE (preferred/strongly desired)

· Palo Alto certification (PCNSE or equivalent)
