Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular Operating Room/Open Heart position requiring IL RN licensure and a minimum of two years of relevant nursing experience.

Details

Open Heart/Cardiovascular OR unit in a hospital setting
Day shift schedule: 6:30AM-5PM, Monday-Friday, 8-hour shifts
40 hours per week over a 20-week assignment
Rotating weekend and holiday shifts required
May float to other Carle Health facilities including Methodist Hospital, Young Minds, Pekin Hospital, and Proctor Hospital
Epic EMR charting required

Requirements

Active Illinois RN license in good standing
BLS and ACLS certification (American Heart Association)
BSN required
Minimum two years of relevant nursing experience
Epic charting experience required
Level 1 Trauma experience required

Additional Information

Deliver individualized nursing care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation across the patient care continuum
Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to coordinate patient care from admission through discharge
Provide patient and family education tailored to age, culture, and developmental factors
Demonstrate technical proficiency with OR equipment and troubleshoot issues as needed
Perform bedside lab testing and specimen collection per hospital protocols
Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates will not be considered
RTO may not exceed 7 total days within a 13-week contract period
Workers may not remain continuously on assignment at Carle Health for more than 1 year without a 6-month break in service or conversion to permanent staff
